Features

The small diameter fluororesin coated thermocouple is a thermocouple where a thermocouple wire of a small diameter is coated with fluororesin for insulation and further covered by a sheath. We have the type of the temperature measuring junction exposed and the type of fluororesin or silicone rubber insulated. We have a product of the smallest sheath outer diameter in the world (according to our survey), whose element outer diameter is φ0.06 mm and whose fluororesin coated outer diameter is approx. 0.22 x 0.49 mm. This product is optimum for measuring temperature at an extremely narrow place. We also have products whose outer diameters are φ0.1 mm and φ0.32 mm. Our products with the temperature measuring junction molded with fluorosin have air tightness and excellent corrosion resistance. The exposed type is optimum for measuring the temperature of gas or solid surface, and the insulated type is optimum for measuring temperature under water and in the places where electrical insulation is required. We can manufacture an extremely finel type whose outer diameter is up to φ0.06 mm.

Note: The silicone rubber insulator is applied only onto the heat contact part; therefore, a place with pressure applied has no air tightness. Also, since the diameter of the tip is as large as approx. φ1.0 with coating, the thermocouples are not suitable for measuring in a minute place.
