MI Cables

MI CABLE

OKAZAKI MI cables are economical MI cables with high reliability. In Japan, it is only we that manufacture the cables from raw materials consistently in our own facilities with our unique technologies. They can be bent and wound in a coil shape and soldered with silver, or welded. We use stainless steel or nickel alloy steel, etc. with high heat/corrosion resistance for sheath materials and we can manufacture cables with an extremely small outer diameter and others according to the purposes of use. Furthermore, the core wire is completely insulated from air and gas with a highly-pure inorganic insulator ( magnesium oxide, etc. ) firmly packed between linear core wire and metal sheath. Therefore, the cables have less oxidizing/corrosion and longer product life and are more economical than naked wires.

Features

In comparison to conventional cables, the MI cables have the following features.

  • 1.Wide Range of Temperature Supported

The MI cables are high temperature/high pressure tolerant and can be used for a wide temperature range from -269 to 1,260°C.

  • 2.Excellent Uniformity

We can manufacture longer MI cables in which inorganic insulators are firmly packed with a method of our unique technology.

  • 3.Easy Handling

Since bending processing is available up to a radius 2 times longer than the outer diameter of the sheath, the MI cables can be installed in various places at sites. They can be wound in a coil shape and soldered with silver, or welded.

  • 4.Longer Product Life

Air tightness is maintained and longer product life is achieved with insulation by magnesium oxide, which is chemically stable.

  • 5.High Mechanical Strength/Pressure Resistance Performance

The MI cables can be used even in the conditions of a place with vibration, corrosive atmosphere, etc.

  • 6.Various Sizes and Shapes

We can manufacture a sheath outer diameter of 0.08 to 26 mm according to your purposes of use.

  • 7.Inorganic Insulator Suitable for Purposes of Use

We use magnesium oxide (MgO) for standard products. We can also manufacture aluminum oxide ( Al2O3 ) and silicon dioxide ( SiO2 ) for special purposes of use.
