Since most products for food and medical applications directly relate to the health and lives of people, their quality is strictly specified to be “clean and sanitary” in the Food Sanitation Act and Pharmaceutical Affairs Act. Especially, in recent years, international restrictions such as HACCP and GMP have been applied in many cases, and the importance of temperature measurement has been increasing.
 For the temperature sensors which are used in manufacturing processes, “sanitary design is a mandatory condition in order to retain a clean manufacturing enviroment without foreign substances and a microbiologically clean status.
 Since our sanitary-specified temperature sensors have high quality and have been designed sufficiently taking this condition into account, you can use them securely. In addition, we offer temperature sensors optimum for installing on medical devices, which make it possible to measure the temperature of fine targets with high precision and high speed.

Heaters with Thermocouples (Metal Sheath Type)

The product has a heater and a thermocouple within a MI cable, to which our MI cable manufacturing technology is applied. Available sheath materials include stainless steel and Inconel which offer various features.

The heater generates heat when powered. The thermocouple does not produce any output at the measuring junction resulting from the heat of the heater when heat dissipation is good, such as with water, but produces output in the case of air. The level meter utilizes the difference in heat dissipation(heat capacity difference) between inquids and gases.

The heater and thermocouple are located inside the protective stainless steel tube, and the characteristics of the cable provide this device with excellent adaptability. Thermocouple lead wires are available in vinyl, Teflon and silicone types.

Providing electricity to the heater generates heat. When a temperature measuring junction of a thermocouple conducing wire is surrounded by water, etc. and discharges heat well, thermocouple output due to the heat of the heater does not occur but for gases, it does. It is a level gauge which uses the heat discharge difference (heat capacity difference) of liquid and gas.

High-speed Response Sanitary Platinum Resistance Thermometer

A sanitary platinum resistance thermometer sensor which satisfies the response speed specified in 3-A and PMO standards and can be used for pasteurizers. The specified response speed must be less 5 sec. with STLR (diverting record), 4 sec with display temperature as the time to reach from below 11°C to below 4°C of the setting temperature of a thermostatic tank. We use materials which satisfy this specification as well as standards of foods and additives, etc. designed as for sanitary.
