Okazaki has successfully developed a Mineral Insulated Thermocouple with a sheath outer diameter of 0.1mm. It features an incredible response time (63.2%) of 1 ms, and is suitable for measuring the temperature of any small object. Due to the ultra small size, the thermocouple element wires are very small, and require highly advanced technology to form the hot junctions.

The Fan Tip Thermocouple has
been designed with three objectives in mind, to be more accurate than other options, to be more reliable and to be readily available.
Due to itʼs unique 8mm diameter Hastelloy X sheath the Fan Tip thermocouple can be bent and coiled to allow for any movement both horizontally and vertically.
The 40mm end tip is designed to be welded to the heater tubes on both sides which greatly reduces the chances of it breaking off while in service.
